U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
NorthWoods partners with the USFWS on many projects, from educational outreach to Youth Conservation Corps programs. Specific partnerships exist with the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge, the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge, and the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge. |

U.S. Youth Conservation Corps
This is a summer employment program, established by Public Law 93-408, for young men and women between the ages of 15 through 18. The program is administered by the Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, National Park Service (NPS), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Enrollment periods typically last for eight weeks, depending upon the regional academic calendars, and the enrollees normally work a 40-hour week. Projects may include trail building, improving wildlife habitat, posting boundary signs, invasive plant control, bird banding, simple construction, office work and general maintenance activities as needed. |

Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation
The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR) is responsible for the conservation, and management of Vermont’s forest resources, the operation and maintenance of the state park system, and the promotion and support of outdoor recreation for Vermonters and our visitors. In addition, FPR is responsible for the acquisition, planning, coordination and administration of all Agency of Natural Resources lands. |

Vermont Trails and Greenways Council
The Vermont Trails & Greenways Council (VTGC) helps plan for the future of Vermont's recreational activities. It promotes the development and maintenance of trails, coordinates public and private trail efforts, encourages education programs, and recommends the allocation of funds of trail and greenway programs. |

The Vermont River Conservancy protects public access, wildlife habitat, clean waters, scenic natural beauty and ecological integrity by conserving undeveloped land along rivers, lakes and wetlands of Vermont. |

Kingdom Trails
Kingdom Trails is a charitable non-profit conservation organization, driven by a volunteer Board of Directors, working in partnership with private landowners, local businesses, government agencies and other non-profit organizations to create and manage out-door recreation opportunities and preserve and protect trails. |
