Education & Summer Programs at NorthWoods Stewardship Center

Our school programs and summer camps combine hands-on learning about Vermont’s cultural and natural history with challenge-based outdoor activities. Presented in engaging Northern Forest environments and tied to the state's educational standards, these programs provide a stimulating alternative from traditional classroom learning, while challenging students to broaden their understanding of the world around them.

Science-based Programs
Immerse your students in science through the natural world of forests, ponds, streams and fields.
Challenge & Outdoor Recreation Programs
Students grow in confidence and leadership by facing challenges and solving problems as individuals and in groups.
Summer Camps & Teen Research Experience
Educational and recreational experiences that increase participants' awareness of the natural world.
