American Hiking Society - As the national voice for America’s Hikers, American Hiking Society promotes and protects foot trails and the hiking experience. For the past 30 years, American Hiking Society has worked vigorously on behalf of the nation’s trails and all the hikers who enjoy them.
Caledonia County Natural Resources Conservation District - works with individuals and landowners across 17 towns in Caledonia County to implement sound conservation practices and educate landowners, community members and local youth. We coordinate available technical, financial and educational resources to meet the needs of local residents and landowners in Caledonia County.
Cohos Trail Association - The Cohos Trail is a wild trail in a million acres of mountains and forests. It's for those who really, really want to get away from it all. It's a trail where you can test yourself, and a trail where you can find real solace, the sort of peace you might have experienced had you arrived here 1,000 years ago.
Creative Charleston Website - Taste local food and drink, admire handiwork and listen to music - all from your friends and neighbors in Charleston.
Geotourism - Located in the Northeastern part of the state, Vermont's Northeast Kingdom has long been cherished by visitors and natives alike for its unspoiled beauty and natural treasures. To preserve the natural environment and to promote sustainable destinations, Vermont's Northeast Kingdom is working with National Geographic to develop a geotourism program for the region.
Green Mountain Club - The Green Mountain Club and its 9500 plus members from across the country share a love for hiking and a commitment to preserving and protecting the Long Trail System for future generations. Built by the Green Mountain Club between 1910 and 1930, the Long Trail is the oldest long-distance trail in the United States. The Long Trail follows the main ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts-Vermont line to the Canadian border as it crosses Vermont's highest peaks.
Kingdom Trails - Kingdom Trails is a charitable non-profit conservation organization, driven by a volunteer Board of Directors, working in partnership with private landowners, local businesses, government agencies and other non-profit organizations to create and manage out-door recreation opportunities and preserve and protect trails.
Kroka Expeditions - Kroka Expeditions is committed to awakening in young people a connection to nature and the spirit within, and a capacity for conscious living and compassionate service. We strive to achieve this through wilderness adventure, community living, farming, and the practice of traditional and indigenous skills.
NEKI Americorps Program - Americorps is a federally-run program administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, and has directed more than 400,000 individuals in volunteer service throughout the nation since its inception. Northwoods has partnered with the Northeast Kingdom Initiative program, run through Lyndon State College, since its inception in the mid-90s.
Northern Forest Canoe Trail Association - The Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) links the waterways of New York, Vermont, Québec, New Hampshire and Maine. NFCT offers maps, books, and web-based tools to help you connect to our 740-mile paddling route that traces a fascinating history from early Native Americans through European settlers.
Old Stone House Museum - A private and picturesque Northeast Kingdom village, the museum includes six historic buildings on fifty five acres in Brownington, VT with 21 rooms of exhibits focusing on 19th century life in northern Vermont.
Radiant Hen Publishing - Radiant Hen Publishing’s mission is to promote good citizenship and kindness to all living things, an awareness of agriculture and ecological issues, and an awareness of Vermont people and places. 
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - NorthWoods partners with the USFWS on many projects, from educational outreach to Youth Conservation Corps programs. Specific partnerships exist with the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge, the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge, and the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.
U.S. Youth Conservation Corps - This is a summer employment program, established by Public Law 93-408, for young men and women between the ages of 15 through 18. The program is administered by the Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, National Park Service (NPS), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
Vermont Coverts: Woodlands for Wildlife - Educating Vermont's woodland owners and managers about practical approaches to forest management to enhance wildlife habitat and promote healthy forest ecosystems.
Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation - The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR) is responsible for the conservation, and management of Vermont’s forest resources, the operation and maintenance of the state park system, and the promotion and support of outdoor recreation for Vermonters and our visitors. In addition, FPR is responsible for the acquisition, planning, coordination and administration of all Agency of Natural Resources lands.
Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network — VECAN — is a collaborative of organizations that are working to start and support town energy committees across Vermont.
Vermont Fish & Wildlife Conservation Group - is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed in 1988 "to promote the preservation and conservation of Vermont’s fish and wildlife so that its citizens and guests may continue to enjoy the quality recreational opportunities they provide”.
Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department - The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is a branch of the Agency of Natural Resources that carries forward a mission to protect and conserve our fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the people of Vermont.
Vermont Land Trust - Founded in 1977, the Vermont Land Trust (VLT) is one of the most effective land trusts in the country. Its primary focus is on permanently conserving productive, recreational, and scenic lands vital to Vermont's and rural economy and environment.
VNRC: Vermont Natural Resources Council - For over forty years, VNRC has been Vermont's leader in protecting and restoring our natural resources. By building coalitions, working together, and offering common sense solutions, VNRC has set the standard for an approach to environmental protection that endures. From the State House to your Town Hall, VNRC keeps Vermonters informed on the environmental issues that you and your family care most about.
Vermont River Conservancy - The Vermont River Conservancy protects public access, wildlife habitat, clean waters, scenic natural beauty and ecological integrity by conserving undeveloped land along rivers, lakes and wetlands of Vermont.
Vermont Trails and Greenways Council - The Vermont Trails & Greenways Council (VTGC) helps plan for the future of Vermont's recreational activities. It promotes the development and maintenance of trails, coordinates public and private trail efforts, encourages education programs, and recommends the allocation of funds of trail and greenway programs.
