Level 3- Saturday, September 16, Level 4 - Sunday, September 17 Cost: $220 per level Ready to step up your chainsaw game? Levels 3 and 4 give experienced sawyers the skills to deal with challenging trees and hazardous situations in the woods. Level 3 focuses on trees with heavy lean, compression/tension, and limbing/bucking techniques. Level 4 shows you how to deal with hung-up trees, and may include winching, rope use, harvest pre-planning, or other topics, depending on the group interests. Enthusiasm wasn’t dampened by a little afternoon rain last Thursday when female high-school students learned how to safely use chainsaws and cut tree cookies at the Women Can Do Expo at Vermont Technical College in Randolph, Vermont.
