NorthWoods is seeking a qualified contractor for the construction of a new conditioned 1296 sf conservation barn to serve as a workspace and maintenance shop and a nonconditioned attached 1296 sf shed and storage space.<\/p>\n<p>Qualified and interested contractors should submit an RFQ. The RFQ must include the following: confirmation of compliance with insurance minimums, a list of 3 similar completed projects and location, estimated timeline of construction, as well as two professional references with phone contact. Architectural drawings and specifications provided upon request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For questions and to submit RFQ, contact Executive Director Maria Young at <a href=\"mailto:maria@northwoodscenter.org\">maria@northwoodscenter.org<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeline:<\/strong> RFQ due October 23, 2020 by 4 pm. Contractors will be notified if they have been invited to bid by October 28, 2020. Bids due by November 19, 2020 and selection made by December 1, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Construction Timeline:<\/strong> Work to begin in Spring 2021, and completed by September 15, 2021. Schedule to be submitted with bid.<\/p>\n<p>(Note: Interior Finish Work, Exterior siding and soffit, and upstairs storage to be completed outside of the scope of this contract.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Contractor must be able to provide insurance coverage for the following: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General Liability &amp; Automobile: $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.<\/li>\n<li>Professional Liability: $2,000,000.<\/li>\n<li>Workers\u2019 Compensation: $500,000 per injury.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Funding Requirements:<\/strong> Funding for this project is provided by the USDA and NVDA as well as private contributions.
