NorthWoods is pleased to announce that Colleen Goodridge from Albany, VT will be this year’s recipient of the George Buzzell Forest Stewardship Award. The award is given annually to a member of the Northeast Kingdom community who has made a positive impact on forestry in the region. Through this award we also honor the late George Buzzell, a long-time Orleans County Forester known for his sense of humor, respect for the people he served, and overall dedication to his work and to the forest. Colleen demonstrates the spirit of this award through her roles as a local sawmill operator, supporter of local students, and active participant in professional organizations.<\/p>\n

All are invited to join us for the award ceremony on Wednesday, November 16th at 5:45pm at the NorthWoods lodge. This will be a celebration of forest stewardship, as exemplified through George’s legacy and Colleen’s ongoing work.
