Willoughby State Forest Weekly Trails Update<\/h1>\n

Trails were last groomed on Friday March 9th. Grooming will not occur until this storm is passed, so expect unpacked powder conditions until\u00a0tomorrow\u00a0<\/span><\/span>or\u00a0Friday<\/span><\/span>. Unfortunately, we are down to the last of our funds in our grooming budget and are unable to get out as often as we would like. We are hoping to pack the trails down\u00a0tomorrow<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and groom\u00a0this Friday<\/span><\/span>, though it could be the last run of the season. About Willoughby State Forest Trails<\/h3>\n

The Willoughby trails include 12 kilometers of wide groomed terrain suitable for both skate and classic skiing and are a gateway to other parts of Willoughby State Forest. Other uses (snowshoeing, walking, crampons, etc.) should avoid the groomed lanes and keep to one side (please). Leashed dogs (per Westmore Ordinance) are permitted; visitors are expected to clean up after their\u00a0dogs on the groomed trails and in the parking area.<\/p>\n

Trails are groomed 2-3 days per week, weather permitting. Trail use is\u00a0by\u00a0donation\u00a0(suggested $5\/person) and helps defray maintenance and grooming expenses. Thank you.<\/p>\n<\/div>

NorthWoods Trails Update<\/h1>\n

Great conditions! Trails were groomed this morning (3\/14) and are waiting to be used. Tracks were not set but our trails are open with packed powder conditions. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

We endeavor to groom trails 2-3 times a week, weather permitting. Trail use is by donation (suggested $5\/person) and defrays the expense of maintenance and grooming. Maps, rentals, and information are available at our Lodge.<\/p>\n

About NorthWoods Stewardship Center Nordic Trails<\/h3>\n

Ten Mile Square Road, East Charleston, Vt<\/em><\/p>\n

We are open for skiing and snowshoeing during business hours, Monday-Friday, and offer a variety of terrain and trails. Staff is on-hand to provide rentals, answer questions, distribute maps and lead guided programs (see our\u00a0website\u00a0for a complete list of winter activities).\u00a0Maps
\nand information are available at the Lodge and at selected trail locations. Trail donations are collected on the honor system and help pay for grooming and trail maintenance expenses. For after hours and weekend use, check-in at our back entry and outdoor info kiosk.<\/p>\n
