Thanks to the generosity of a $10,000 grant from Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Fund, NorthWoods will have the opportunity to update and upgrade our crew and project equipment for the 2022 field season.
Our Conservation Corps, Forestry, Conservation Science and Education staff work hard and while we take care of our equipment, we also put it through its paces! With this grant, our staff and crews will be able to invest in good quality supplies and replace worn out equipment for work in all conditions.
Some of the items we’ll be able to invest in this year include rain gear and camping equipment for our backcountry crews, carts and water pumps for our tree planting crews, and outdoor notebooks and snorkeling sets for our education programs. Thanks to Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s for supporting our projects and keeping our equipment up to par!
