I was raised in southern Vermont (Dorset) and graduated from Burr and Burton in 1970 and Middlebury College in 1974. After college, I moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I worked at Strawbery Banke Museum, was a partner in a small bakery for 14 years, and then ran a business building cushions and canvas for sailboats and powerboats (Shoals Marine Canvas and Interiors). In 2016 my husband and I
had a small house built in Kirby to be used mostly for skiing but liked it so much here that we moved here full time 3 years ago.
I love to be outdoors- in the winter I ski, alpine, backcountry, and nordic, and in the summer I bike, both gravel and mountain bike, and have a large vegetable garden.
