(Board Member,  Burlington)

I feel most at home in the woods, I love seeing kids get dirty while learning, and I believe sustaining our forests and ecology for the future is more important than ever in the face of climate change. That’s why NorthWoods is so important to me!

Most of my career was in radio broadcasting. I was a reporter, on-air host and advertising producer at several commercial stations in Vermont before joining Vermont Public Radio where I worked in programming, promotions, production and pledge drives for twelve years, retiring in 2018. Way back in the 80’s I was press secretary for two (unsuccessful) gubernatorial campaigns and spent five years with an industrial association bringing business leaders into the political arena.

My husband Mike and I live in Burlington, but our camp in Newark has been our haven since 2002. When I’m not taking long walks in the woods with our dog Lily, snow-shoeing or kayaking, you will find me in front of the woodstove with a book!
