Join the Forest Stewards Guild for a Gathering in the forests of the Northeastern Kingdom of Vermont hosted by the NorthWoods Stewardship Center. We will visit Vermont Land Trust owned and managed Mud Pond, and the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge in the Nulhegan Basin to discuss climate-adaptation driven silviculture. We will learn from managers and researchers about Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change (ASCC) study sites, forest birds, managing ash with emerald ash borer, old growth forest characteristics, post-industrial management, and spruce-fir silviculture.
Accommodation is available for the night at NorthWoods.
$50 registration fee for full 2 days, or $25/day. Meals and lodging included.
Let me know if you need anything else for now. The registration will be hosted on the guild website so we don’t have to worry about that.
