Westmore Mountain Challenge 2023 Results

Congratulations to the finishers of the 2023 Westmore Mountain Challenge! The weather was perfect - partly sunny and in the 60's, with fall colors just beginning to turn. We had a record turnout of 175 registrants - (the permit limit for this event!), 152 day-of participants, and 95 timed, full-length finishers. As always, we were inspired by the resilience, kindness, and community spirit of our participants who both pushed themselves physically and mentally and also supported one another on their respective journeys through the beautiful mountains of the NEK. 2021 Westmore Mountain Challenge Results

Congratulations to the participants of the 2021 Westmore Mountain Challenge! Despite a brief torrential downpour in the morning, the sun emerged around midday, drying out participants on the trail and making for a beautiful September marathon. We had 150 registrants, 120 participants, and 65 finishers of the full marathon-length hike. Well the 2020 Westmore Mountain Challenge could not have had more perfect weather or fall foliage! Firstly, a big congratulations to all our hikers -- every year we are blown away by the determination and resilience of our participants who we are proud to say cover the full array of trail enthusiasts, from speed-oriented mountain runners to stop-and-enjoy-the-view hikers and everyone in between. It’s a Wrap! – 2019 Westmore Mountain Challenge

The 2019 Westmore Mountain Challenge was a great success - our fastest finisher, Andrew MacGibbon, beat out the 2018 fastest time by over an hour at 3:57 - he took us so off guard back at the finish that we had to rush to set up our timing tent! We were especially proud to have some NorthWoods home team staff members, Kenyon Fatt and Caleb Kessler also beat out last year's fastest time, coming in 2nd and 3rd overall at 4:22 and 4:29 respectively.
