The NorthWoods Education team has been collaborating with the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium to produce educational content for those stuck at home during the social distancing period.

Last week, Wyatt introduced the series “Wonders of Wood and Water” about the cool and amazing things you can find in the forests and waterbodies of northern New England. In this episode, Wyatt introduces the audience to the types of macro invertebrates that inhabit stream and pond ecosystems, including caddisflies, stoneflies, dragonflies and water boatmen. Wyatt also sets viewers the task of looking for macro invertebrates near you, to help you determine the water quality of your local water source!
