We are proud to announce the launch of a new program to advance leadership in the Northeast Kingdom: the Northeast Kingdom Leadership Institute (NEKLI)
The NEKLI, a program created by NorthWoods Stewardship Center with support from the Northeast Kingdom Collaborative, seeks to challenge, support, and promote leaders who serve in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. This free initiative provides participants with the tools, resources, and connections that will enable them to be more effective leaders, as they address challenges in their work and in their communities.
Program features:
- NEKLI recruits participants from the private, public and nonprofit sectors represented in the Northeast Kingdom.
- NEKLI engages outstanding faculty from across the state.
- Participants learn directly from a variety of other leaders, from faculty, from participants, and their stories.
- Experiential activities, journaling and small-group conversations encourage exploration of individual and organizational values and options.
- The learning environment features an appreciative, collaborative approach and lively interaction.
- Thoughtful support for and among participants—before and during sessions—develops from the very beginning.
The NEKLI encourages applicants from a diverse set of backgrounds, work and personal experiences, across private, public, and non-profit sectors to create a cohort of individuals who will benefit from the shared leadership journey through the NEKLI. Through this process, we hope to get to know you, your experience, and your vision for improving the community you live and work in.
